Join the RSP Ensemble as they explore the amazing world and historical impact of the 6 wives of Henry the Eighth.  Often considered misfortunate victims, meet the six women who helped shape world that we live in today. From Fashion to War Fare these women helped guide his hand in it all, some met tragic ends, others triumphed quietly while they fought for survival in a ruthless court.  This project will be work shopped over the course of 2012 with readings, previews, and workshop performances sprinkled thru the year.

Borrowing from the Late Night Talk Show Format, RSP will present an hour long Live Variety Show on a monthly basis with a rotating roster of hosts, interview guests, audience interaction events, live musical acts, sketches, and a Brand new GAME each month!

RSP's ensemble embarks on its most ambitious project yet with an exciting, ground breaking site specific theatrical event. Insects, Torrid Love, Incest, and Paranoia collide in one room over the course of 21days this fall.

Ensemble Company: Committed to the principle of  ensemble performance through the collaboration of a company of actors, directors, designers and playwrights, RSP’s mission is to advance the vitality and diversity of American theater by nurturing artists, encouraging repeatable creative relationships, and contributing new works and revitalized pre-existing work to the national canon. Rising Sun Performance Company realizes this goal by providing a safe artistic home which stimulates risk-taking without limits of genre or agenda.

Ensemble members are expected to carry a part of the responsibility of the fundraising, artistic and production quality and be committed to the success of the entire season. Ensemble members are REQUIRED to participate in Production, Show Run, Design, Marketing & Fundraising for the entire season. The commitment level is to the company and not individual productions or performances.

The Ensemble is NO PAY; profit sharing is possible based on the success of the season

Prepare:  2 contrasting monologues, 1 minute each.  16 bars accapella and/or prepared movement/dance pieces are also welcome but not required.
