Holly Payne-Strange (Director) Holly Payne-Strange is the resident director of Fireside Mystery Theater, a podcast with over a million downloads. She is one of World Ocean Art's "Stand out artists" of 2017. Her most recent play "Last Call" was called "masterfully staged" by Onstage, and she has directed at various theaters, including; The Davenport, Wild Project, Theater for the New City, The Secret Theater, and many more. She is proud to be a part of SDC. Upcoming; "Love, Genious and a walk", UK/US international tour. Terrence (Troy)- Growing up in Lugano, Switzerland, Terrence spent a lot of his childhood watching movies and developing his passion for acting, which lead him in 2013 to move to L.A to pursue his dream to become a professional, skilled actor. After two and a half years, Terrence decided to move to new york to focus more on his stage career and to master the famous method acting technique at the prestigious lee Strasberg Theater and film institute. Travis Martin (Adam)- Travis Martin is an actor, writer, director, and editor primarily focused in film. He graduated Cum Laude from Hofstra University in May 2017 with a B.A. in Film Studies and Production and a minor in Drama. Besides being in numerous shorts, Travis’ theatrical roles include a hitman in Interactive Murder Mystery and as multiple characters in the show Fifty-Flat, which performed at the East End Fringe Festival. He currently resides in the Upper East Side.On Sep 25, Kevin D. Ferguson (Playwright)-Kevin D. Ferguson is Playwright-in-Residence at Atlantic Stage, Myrtle Beach, SC’s only professional theatre, where his plays Child’s Play, Spinning Jenny and A Thing With Feathers premiered. He is also the Resident Dramaturg and Literary Manager at Atlantic Stage, administrating the annual New Voices Playfest there. He is a Teaching Associate in the Theatre Department at Coastal Carolina University where he teaches courses in playwriting and dramaturgy. Kevin received an MFA in Playwriting with a Concentration in Dramaturgy from Hollins University’s Playwrights Lab. He is a member of the Dramatist Guild of America and the Literary Managers and Dramaturges of the Americas. Emily Szajnuk (Maggie) is soon to be a student at the famed American Musical and Dramatic Academy for Music Theatre. She previously studied Vocal Performance for two years at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC. Emily has been studying acting and voice since she was a kid. Originally from Camp Hill, PA, Emily recently moved to NYC to attend school and pursue her dreams of Broadway. She was last seen performing as Dani Lyons in Dani Girl at Theatre Harrisburg, and performed in many other shows throughout central PA. |
OUT OF TUNE by Jenny Kirlin:
a new multi-lingual exploration Saturday October 7th @ 2PM Sunday October 8th @ Noon & 4PM As part of The Rising Sun Performance Company’s Laboratorium, CRY HAVOC is further developing Out of Tune by Jenny Kirlin in a project that brings together three of the company’s inter-institutional partnerships. Out of Tune was originally developed by CRY HAVOC for a commission by LINCOLN CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS, where the play premiered in June of 2015. The new workshop is a multi-lingual exploration of the piece featuring Christina Baever and Helene Skogland, a pair of Norwegian actors currently in residence at CRY HAVOC, who the company originally met when they were students at NSKI HØYSKOLE (the Norwegian Actors College), a university theater training program in Oslo with whom CRY HAVOC has partnered since 2012. The workshop will be presented in partnership with RISING SUN PERFORMANCE COMPANY. Jenny Kirlin’s plays have been performed across the United States, as well as in Germany, South Africa, Costa Rica, and Indonesia. She is also the author of the feature-length animated screenplay, Plume, with Kitt Lavoie, about a reluctant every-pigeon scouring New York City for the exotic bird he loves. Also an actor, Jenny is a proud member of Actors Equity and SAG-AFTRA. Jenny is a Resident Artist and Associate Artistic Director with The CRY HAVOC Company. www.jennykirlin.com Helene Skogland is a Norwegian actress based in Oslo and she graduated from the Norwegian Acting Institute in 2014, where she also first met The CRY HAVOC Company. Since then, Helene has worked for several theaters in Norway such as Skånevik Teater, The National Theatre and Haugesund Teater, in roles such as Wendy in Peter Pan, Masha in Vanya, Sonia Masha and Spike and The Wild One in The Cagebirds. In addition to acting, Helene also writes and directs, and her last production Til Siste Fjær/The Last Feather was put up in a theater in Norway this summer. Back in Oslo, Helene will play the lead role in Point of View, a movement/theater piece created by the Norwegian Dance Artist, Karen Høybakk Mikalsen. Helene’s passion for theater comes from the urge to understand relationships between human beings, and getting to know the bodies and the stories we all carry around. Christina Bæver is a Norwegian actor and singer. She recently completed her bachelor degree in theater from Norwegian Acting Institute in Oslo. She is currently in New York to develop her skills as a writer and actor as an Apprentice with The CRY HAVOC Company. Christina has experience in movies, musicals, and theater. She has played characters such as Annie Oakley in the musical Annie Get your Gun, Guro in the film Pornopung based on Mads Larsens novel, and this summer played Vera opposite her colleague Helene Skogland in the Danish play called Til Siste Fjær/The Last Feather. In addition to acting, Christina also plays guitar and writes music. In November, she will be going on a four week tour in the new Norwegian musical Fremmed Fugl, Storm og Kaffe/ Foreign Bird, Storm And Coffee where she will be playing the lead character Mie. Christina lives in Oslo. |
